Bealey Road, Hororata, Selwyn, is currently closed following a serious crash this morning.
Police were called around 7.50am, where a vehicle has hit a power pole between Derretts Road and Plantation Road.
One person has received critical injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and the road is expected to remain closed for some time while emergency services work at the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
