Primary teachers settle long-running pay talks

Primary teachers have settled their long-running pay talks, the Public Service Commission says.

The deal provides a 2.5 percent pay rise today and a further 2.1 percent in January next year.

The commission says teachers could have accepted the deal in December last year and the delay has cost them about $550 each.
